This may be nothing - I was waiting about 30 minutes to pick up my daughter after practice; engine off and radio on. When I started the engine to pick her up the red Warning Light stayed on after all the other dash lights cycled up and then switched off. I turned the car off and then restarted the engine and while the Warning Light seemed to linger on the longest during that start-up cycle (maybe its always done this and I never noticed?), it switched itself off in the end. I've started the car several times since yesterday and the Warning Light has not stayed on since - drives absolutely normally.
Am I borrowing trouble by worrying over this event? Is it just a ghost in the machine? Would love your thoughts as I believe early identification and action on potential problems keeps my repair bills low(ish).
As long as it goes off eventually it's fine.
Thanks - read somewhere that the Warning Light can come on if you leave the key in the On position for 10+ seconds without starting the car. Not sure if that's a fact or not. Hasn't happened since... fingers crossed.
