Can't imagine it would pose any problems? Ive been a fan of the Zerex G-05 for years just because I can get it at napa and it is very similar to all the high end euro type coolants.

I've converted all my cars to Dexcool over the years, aluminium block Range Rover and rotary RX7 as well all the Saabs with no issues.

Yeah. I figure that GM is world class in powertrain engineering, has very large statistically relevant failure data from all over the world, and I think they're still running it, so that's millions of vehicles. And Dexcool was used in the Cobalts--similar engines.

Afaik the pre-GM bankruptancy suit centered around suspected intake gasket failure; the B2x5R engines don't have coolant channels in their intake (except in some older versions that had the weird cooled fuel injectors). It does seem like it's not very tolerant to air ingress/dissolved oxygen, but that shouldn't be a problem when your system is healthy mechanically.

I don't know that you really want to run it for the rated 150k without changing it... In any case, people make a big stink about a few well publicized issues with unclear root causes, but then they'll go and dump magic potions like Stop Leak into their systems without even thinking about it lol.

None of that proves anything either way, but that's how I'm thinking about it and scuttlebutt says the anticorrosion additive package is superior--which is reasonable to think is true based-on the rated 150k mile change interval.
