The Redline MTL is the EXACT same thing Saab sells at twice the price.

Not the same-MTL is clear & MTF0063 is red like ATF.I am using Redline MT-90,it's like the MTL but a little thicker.
I was reading on some of the vw forums about MTL and they were saying it was too thin and some people had gearbox (bearing) failures cause it was too thin and then they switched to MT-90 after rebuild and the boxes were fine.I figured the little bit extra thickness wouldn't hurt anything and provide a little extra protection. Our gearbox designs are probably pretty similar with clearances and all to vw's anyways.

Ahhhh....the redline MTL IS red, I put it in last night. I have read countless Saab posts about how pleased people were with Redline MTL. My shifts today were awesome, light and easy... no more notchy feel. The MTL is going to be good in the winter time too.
Saab buys oil from somebody and re-labels as there own and sells at 3x the price. The consensus on the net is it seems to be 'redline'. I have used both and compared, feels the same in the car. Side by side, they look exactly the same color, feel, and odour. I feel if you send it to a lab, they will be the same.

Saab MTF0063 is good too from what people say...but $$$.

Huh?I always thought it was clear, that's strange...
And just because they look, feel,& smell the same doesn't mean they are.
But hey if it works for ya whatever.
