Wanted manifold heatshield

I want one of those exhaust manifold heatshields from a 9-3. How do they attach? Anyone have one they want to part with?

I don't have one, but I think that it's actually part of the exhaust manifold gasket, so maybe you could buy a 9-3 exhaust gasket and come by it that way?

No, they're separate. Your best bet is a junkyard. Or... you might try Paul Dolmetch (sp?) motors in southern VT. He's likely to have one or two, or at least know where to get one.

it has two clips that attach to the head, but the third stud screws into a hole on the manifold, so i dont think it would work

The stud is attached to the manifold. They have a tedency to break too, BTW. The only thing that stud does is anchor the heatshield. It is almost wholly unnecessary. You can have a heatshield on without it. I do, and have for the better part of 20,000 miles. Take a look here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/757219/5#Scene_1 you can see where the stud goes through the heatshield in the first picture.
