Rear O2 sensor connection (picture please)

Could some please take a picture of the connection between the rear O2 senor were it meets the harness; specifically focused on the order of colored wires at the connection.

While replacing my downpipe to pass CO emission everything was going extremely smooth - until the rear O2 sensor...just need to re-connect it properly.

Good news is an inexpensive GS V2 downpipe will be on the market soon.

Thanks

I just went out to snap a pic for you, those wires are really buried; someone who has things taken-apart may have to get the pic you need..

I'm looking in WIS right now to see if they describe the color coding, not holding my breath though. The wiring section is terrible, it's like the people who designed the schematics portion never functionally used anything like they were building...and on top of that tried deliberately to make it as cumbersome as possible

When you're ready to sell that DP let me know, I may want to get it for my girlfriend's Viggen 'vert.

Found it. Who knows how you determine which is pin 1 and which is pin 4 though... maybe the plug is stamped? That gives you the correct wire order anyway.

If the plug's not stamped, you can probably pin-out the Ground on the O2 sensor, and then pin-out the Ground-to-chassis connection to get orientation.

Got your PM, can't refuse that price.

The thicker gauge wires are next to one another, they're for the heater I suppose. Can't help to notice that they don't match the WIS coding...image that.

Pic is from my 2000 Viggen.

What was the problem with the inspection? It passed MA/NH everytime. Also, the second O2 could be disabled in the tune currently.

It passed in PA no more than 6 months ago as well; specifically the NOx failed in Colorado. Came in at 2.3 passing is 1.5

Are you suggesting the 2nd O2 sensor could be causing the failed test or the second O2 sensor is disabled so I should not worry about the proper connection? Despite feeling mechanically adept I'm still foggy with the details of the T7 system.

Thanks for clarification Mike; maybe Mike D could chime in regarding this tune?

Appreciated as always

Well if it failed NOx, the race cat on that GS DP is probably failing. What are you doing for a new DP?

I went for the GS with Cali cat; figured that would work out just fine.

Cool, just plug the O2's in like they were before. Should be perfectly fine regardless of the O2 being on or off.

uninstall was as smooth as butter. Despite my pessimism, the subframe brace came out easily and none of the compressor bolts gave me trouble.

Just waiting on delivery of a new rear O2 sensor but if I can confirm its disabled would save me some coin. Throw a cheap universal sensor in and return the pricey unit...

What triggered you to buy a new O2?

The original rear O2 wouldn't budge from the exhaust. The only way to remove it would be to destroy its functionality.
