Acetone in Fuel tank

take a look at the website below.

http://www.lubedev.com/articles/additive.htm

Has anyone tried putting acetone in their fuel tank? I am curious before I try doing it.

I think that is a myth.

Someone, somewhere, in some magazine did testing on it, and found no difference. Now if I could remember who and where.

I would not run that through my engine or my turbo, that's for sure. I use acetone to remove adhesive at work!

acetone will lower the flash point of gasoline, so it will also make your car ping and stuff like that. It may also eat through fuel lines, if i were u i would try it on some old piece of crap, or just use cheap gas because it has a lower flash point anyway.
