Question mesh grill kinda?

alright i already meshed my grill but i was wondering if anyone has put mesh in the lower 3 slots(im not sure what exactly its called)


not my car, but idk how to post pics on here, so not the grill but the lower 3 slots.

People have done it... I know you can use these types of clips to attach them to the backside of the bumper, but im not sure what there called.

Only down side to it is the center part, that you would be adding material in front of the intercooler. That is my reason for not doing it.

You can always cut the bars out and then have mesh instead of the bars. Kaylan is doing something like this...

i know that its a little bit different than your 9-3's for looks, i put some mesh on mine and removed the black slots all together. i actually drilled small (very small) holes in the bumper cover around the area, as far back as i could go and attached the mesh with picture wire. it has held up very well so far.i might have my bumper off again in a few weeks or less and i can take pics of how its attached.

that sounds like it might work, guess the only way to really find out is to do it myself.

and for the intercooler thing do you really thing it would make a diff, i mean its pretty big slots in the mesh.

yeah i cut out all of the extra bars and its totally opened up with black mesh now... looks great...
