Angry Ahhhh!....

Ok, a little update to my situation. As you all know, I replaced my battery after it went dead, and had to get a radio code. Well, I never got a chance to, since the battery went dead again. So had to get it towed to the shop, where they replaced the alternator, costing me $445 total... AHHH. To top it off, my radio doesn't even ask for a code anymore, it just has 4 dashes, like so: ---- when I turn it on. I love this car

Why didnt you have the dealership fix that for you too? I dont know exactly how the radio in your specific car works... but i bet that it needs to be reset... i know for mine you have to leave it sitting with the car running for like 3 hours before it asks you for the code again... huge pain in the ass!! it happened to me the same way when i bought my car...

look in the owners manual, there is way to reset it, if that happens (the four -'s usually only happen if the code was entered in wrong a few to many times wrong) If I remember back to my 98 900, you had to hold the band button or something to reset it.

Just get a turbo! Look for a nice c900 turbo, one of those could smoke any NG900 anyday.

Edit: Any N/A NG.

Band used to bring up the code before the car went in to get fixed. Now holding band does nothing, just 4 dashes still.

Unkept already turning into an obnoxious "Turbo" guy whose every response to an N/A guy's question is "get a turbo". How quickly you forget your N/A roots.

You have to leave the radio / car on for an hour I believe then it will reset and ask you for the radio code again.

I took the radio out and got the code, thank god someone had written the 4 digit radio code on the top. So last on the agenda is getting rid of those 4 dashes, and resetting it so I can input the code.... it seems as though I've already driven for an hour with the radio on....
