If you could get me a picture of yours, that would be great.

I am not 100% sure, but that does NOT look like a stock Vig DP to me. Stock DP's have an O2 bung after the cat, also, the cat looks bigger than what you have pictured.

The one you have pictured has an O2 bung BEFORE the cat.

Don't take my word on it, but I would say that is not stock.

it DOES look like t7, but I'm not sure. I'm going to see if I have a picture of my 9-5 downpipe on photobucket.

That downpipe does have o2 sensors after the cat, but it's the front cat.

That's a t-7 catalytic converter. Came from a 9-3 for sure. After 99 all o2 sensors were mounted like the one above. There is no difference between reg 9-3 and VIGGEN cats. They're all the same.

Really? Was 99 different than 2000? That one looks nothing like what I have on my car. But then, I'm not certain I have the right setup.

To OP, that is a T7 cat. Its stock and normal.
I guess 99 viggens got the T5 cat.

Ah! Thats why it looked so weird to me. The only viggens I have experience with are 99's, which do NOT look like the one OP posted.

The one foxracer posted is what I thought was a standard viggen DP, so seems as though in 2000 they changed over to T7.

Ok lots of confusion here, so I'll lay it out.

'99 Viggens had the same downpipe as the T5 9-3's stock (same as ng900 Turbos). Those had one main cat and the rear O2 mounted after that towards the end of the unit.

'00-'02 Viggens had the standard T7 downpipe with 2 cats. The rear O2 location for that is indeed in the middle of the 2 cats.

The Viggen never received a special exhaust that was different from the rest of the 9-3's. If you have a downpipe for an og9-3 (or ng900 turbo), it will work fine.
