Check your corner markers!

Driving down the highway yesterday evening I heard a funky noise, felt the car hit something, saw something rolling down the road behind me and new I didn't see anything I front of me that I hit. Didn't think anything of it....... Few hours later walking out to my car I see my corner marker is gone..... Went to local shop and they state it's happemd to one of their saabs a year or also ago.

Happened to me on track one time. Nicer corner worker picked it up and got it back to the pits for me. The tab that bolts onto the headlight had broken.

This happened to me, after I installed my new FMIC I bolted everything up the way I have done nearly 100 times, took her for a test drive and I hear a 'banging' sound from up front. I pull over and see my corner light held on by the turn signal connector. Tab had broke. I laughed and put a new one on when I got home.

I've lost both of mine. On one, I think I forgot to tighten the screw enough. On the other, the tab broke. Both times the socket popped right off of the wiring harness and I never saw the light again. What was the worst is that they were expensive E-code lights with Philips Silvervision bulbs in them! Since then I've put fender washers under the screw heads so the force is spread out over a larger area, and I make sure that they're very tight every time I have to take them off.
