Unexpected boost increase...

My 2001se automatic has always boosted to 11/12 on full-out in the year that i've owned it according to my autometer sport comp gauge. Only 93 octane gas ever too. Today I cleaned the purge valve with a cleaner/lubricant, put in a few new hoses and zip tied the ends to there junction points to make sure they are tight. I took the car out to drive this afternoon and all day i was boosting in the 15/16 range. It's almost 80 here and humid. I don't get it. Should I have boosting up to that psi all along. My cars strange in that at a cold idle in park it's in 11/12 vaccuum, but once warm is at around 20in park and 23/24 on decels. Clue me in. The car is 100% stock in all ways. What's fuel cut for the t7 because the car is not hitting it at all.

does the car seem faster?

keep in mind that t7 is a torque request based system. boost will be variable depending on the conditions; torque should not be

yes, it feels faster and in the year that i've had it it has never gone higher than 11/12psi and i hit that daily. Would a mis/correctly connected hose from the bcv or purge valve cause this?

x2 lmao.

It could be a stuck wastegate actuator or a bad bpc.

AKA "Overboost". Accompanied by the dreaded fuel pump shut off. Removed and plugged the three BPC hoses before I under stood how the waste gate servo worked. Boosted deep into the red. Was trying to detune my car I was giving to my daughter. Disconnected the waste gate linkage instead. That was a T5 system. Ended up with about 130 HP. Pathetic.

on my ng900 when my bpc would go bad it would just not regulate boost sometimes, some days it would boost to fuel cut and somedays it'd be fine.

but i don't know if the same would happen on a t7 bpc

T7 BPC is no different and it will overshoot and undershoot at will when going bad
