Just replaced motor mounts. What a difference!

I just thought I'd throw this out there for everyone. I just replaced all 3 motor mounts in my 01 Viggen. It totally transformed the car. Only one of them was visibly bad when I removed the old ones, but I replaced all 3 for good measure. The job was fairly easy, with the exception of the rear mount. Once I figured it out, though, it was not too bad.

The car is now much more responsive, and it's much easier to get it into reverse.

It really was a couple hundred bucks well spent. I recommend everyone check out the condition of their mounts!

Mike

The mounts that I used were made by Bilstein, and are direct OE replacements. They're rubber. I got a bug up my butt to do it right away, and that's all that my local import parts house had in stock.

the mounts they sell are far superior to stock ones.

I'd like to give half windows a little credit here for his ambitious approach to improving his vig. For a new member to TSL, he has shown a lot of enthusiasm
I'll be doing the same swapout of mounts here pretty soon and hope that the mounts I use will be OK with Kid Viggen. Yeah, the poly ones are better, you made your point. Kudos to you 1/2 windows. Keep up the good work.
