Carbon Dash Overlay question.

Okay i have the wooden dash in my car now. But i am hearing that putting the cf dash from genuine Saab over it may look bad. Then i hear that it will be fine. So i just want a final answer. Tried the search tool first with no success only more confusion. Thanks for any help.

It really comes down to personal preference. I've got a brand new base black dash face for sale. PM me if you become interested.

Buy nahums dash to put it on, you don't want to lay an 1/8th" overlay over and 1/8" overlay unless you own a Neon.

Do you really have to ask this question? NO. Go out and hold it up against your wood dash to see how crappy it yould look.

Plain dash is your best bet for the overlay.

yeah i saw them. i was just wondering if you replaced the original armrest with the new one. because i have the original little one the flips up and down and i would not mind switching to something more comfy.

Good luck with putting it on! If I was to put it on again, I would not remove it from where it is, unless you get a new dashboard. It's a PITA to get the vents together later.

well, the car didn't come with an armrest so i had the choice of either going with the sliding armrest or the solid one. i went with the former.

here's what i got:

and here's the solid armrest:

as for the dash, just PM me if/whenever you're ready.

you just have to find all screws mounting the dash (headlight switch, two screws around the radio and some other places you'll find after removing different switches.

I have a wood dash that has cracked - I found a used OEM wood dash (not a vinyl overlay, but the 1/8 inch "wood" plastic one) on ebay. I was planning on ripping the old one off and gluing the new one on.

Is this easy or PITA?

Any suggestions on the type of adhesive?

Sorry for the thread jack...

now that i think of it i am pretty sure i have the "1/8 wood plastic one" i have been examining it and it sure does not look like an over lay. however this is not my area of expertise so i could be wrong
