minor heart surgery this time

well i need to pull the trans to replace the slave cyl. so i figure i'll pull the motor to take car of the leak coming from the timing cover and put in that balance chain tensioner delete that arrived after i had already put the motor in the fist time. oh yeah, might as well put in the fresh intake too. i need to repaint the rest of my blue.
I also realized that after leaving my tow hook in all winter it was rusted in place, and so i twisted it off.

i'll be picking up the engine hoist tomorrow for the fun stuff.

Yikes, doesn't look like a place I'd want to be doing much work on a car with all that mud...

you realize that setting all those parts on the top of your hood could damage the paint right?

lol i'm not worried about the paint on the firebird, it's going to be redone later on. and as far as the "stone" driveway it is a mess, next to the car was just dug out for more parking. my car collection is getting too big and we need more room. we should be getting some stone in the next week or so to recover the driveway. i should have room to work on the car in the garage if i cleaned some of the junk out again.

You broke off the Tally spoiler tow hook? Guess they really aren't that durable.

it wasn't the mount itself that broke off, the bolt had rusted to the nut on the bracket and so it was hopeless trying to unbolt it. i didn't want to mess around cutting it off so i just turned the bolt until it snapped. you happen to know the part #'s for the bracket and a new eye bolt?

or maybe i'll just fab up something that'll work better.
