My silver Viggen side mirror

So I went to pick up my son at day-care, one way street, parked on left side. Came out 10 min later and someone nicked my passenger side mirror ripping off and breaking the cover. Is the viggen silver different then say a non viggen interms of years/colors?
Thanks

Grab the paint code from the door jamb and a google search should give you an answer pretty quick.

Doesn't look like there was more than one silver in 2000:

2000 9-3 Paint codes:
http://www.automotivetouchup.com/cho...Saab&model=9-3

2000 Viggen specific paint codes:
http://www.automotivetouchup.com/cho...b&model=Viggen

The site seems pretty accurate for color offerings in each year, so it should be a good source.

If you are thinking of just getting a silver cover and popping it on, I have yet to not break the cover.

Doing the whole mirror, diff story.

I have an extra Silver mirror in my garage at home, Can not remember what side it this tho. May be a direct swap if your lucky or you can try and switch the covers. I second what tweek said tho, havent had much luck getting them off either. Can let you know later tonight/tomorrow.

I took mine off several times when I gouged the left one and had to repaint it. If you make sure to take the glass off so you can see the clips inside the mirror housing and flip the mirror closed most of the way (there's one more clip on the hinge), you can access all of the clips pretty easily and carefully release them.

It seems like it would be kind of easy putting it on, but once on I can see that it would be a bitch to get off with out f-ing it up.

Thanks much but I just ordered (about 15 min ago) one from eeuro. Only 30 bucks primered. I also bought some touch up paint in spray can along with clear coat. I have used this stuff before on my front air dam and was impressed by how well it matched. Should be pretty easy to shoot the mirror.
Thanks again.

Where did you order the touch up spray from? I have bought the brush on but never seen it in spray.

There are a few sites that make it now, the can I have is from a few years ago, but if you look at stromers link you will find it there as well.
