Yeah, no shit. It sucks, but its just a car.

I would be MUCH, MUCH more pissed off if the person had just left the scene. The damage there does not look terrible. I probably could have been much worse.

Still, I feel for anyone who has had their parked car run into.

Having been in a similar situation with my Viggen a few months ago I can feel your pain

It sucks pretty bad for sure.

But like you, I got a new bumper out of the deal too

It's all back together and shiny new up front. Maybe I'll get some pictures later tonight and post them up.

I'm just glad this is over with.

One picture:

The rest of the car is still fairly dirty. Once most of the snow melts and the summer wheels/tires are on it gets a full detail job (most likely right before SiS).

And I still have to clear out that flippin corner lamp.

I went to Welch Auto Body on Mast Rd in Pinardville/Manch/Goffstown. We send all the body damage/rust cars to him from our repair shop and everything comes back great, so it was a no brainer for me to go there.

As far as pricing goes, I don't know how much he'd charge for a hood repaint. If it was just a straight repaint with no sanding or prep it would be cheap but it wouldn't look good.

BTW I should be giving you a call sometime tonight or tomorrow night Ryan.

ahhhh sheeeeet.

You are a calmer man than me.

I try very hard to not go postal like I did in the past(ask Chip, lol) but If I found a man did that to my Viggen, I'd be irate. A man with no insurance however would catch the wrath and Id take the extendable police baton to his van.

Kidding, and the guy did at least fess up and not run, so while stupid driving with no insurance, at least he fessed up. Still, kudos to you for being so cool about it. I went postal when a kid was on his skateboard and tripped off his board and ran his chest into my passenger side sideview mirror glass and broke shattered it. Thankfully, it was a neighbors kid and they knocked on the door and let me know(they see me washing it all the time and know how much I care about it.)

They came in, we hopped online, I ordered it on the credit card and they cut me a check for the price + and exta $200 to cover the install. Good people.

I cant imagine $2500 worth of damage, though. I'd absolutely lose it.

I respect your resolve and level headedness. I hope one day, despite the cool nature i display most of the time, I will be able to go with the flow to the degree you do and let something that severe and personal roll off my back as you have.

Glad it got fixed. Looks great.
