older 9-3 car alarm remote question

how do you change the batterys on the alarm remote in the older 9-3's? (the ones that aren't part of the key) is the only thing holding it together the one little screw near the keyloop ? my viggen remote is part of the key so i have no idea.

i always called it the dog turd remote.

plus when you pull them out it's kinda neat to lock the doors using the little thin circuit board and tiny switches.

Did you put the battery in right?

It's easy to put it in backwards, if I remember correctly.

mines stopped working for a few days. I took it out and clean it, then it was happy. try it with out the case on....

also, what kind of range do you get with your remote? I currently only get about 5-30 feet from the front of my car. My house mate gets about 1 mile on his after market door/alarm/starter.

5-30 is quite the range. I usually don't get more than 30 feet, after that I have to start raising my hand up in the air, and angling the remote different ways trying to point it at the car.
