96 shift linkage issues

I'm having a slight issue with the shifting of my newly purchased 96 vert n/a. When the car is parked it shifts through all the gears fine. When I go to drive it it will not go into third gear. I've done the linkage adjustment as described in all the threads and it does not seem to help the issue. I was told when I purchased the car that a new clutch was installed from the previous owner. Any Ideas??? Thank you

Are you sure the clutch is working properly--like is it actuating the clutch disk far enough to allow smooth shifting?

Do you know if the clutch cable has been upgraded to the later hydraulic setup? Or is it still a cable?

When the car is in park and running or off?
Could be an engine mount if it has a hard time shifting under load.

When the car is not running it shifts fine and when I'm just sitting idling it finds third gear. But when actually driving third gear is almost impossible to find. Every so often it will go into third. If I shift to fourth than back up to third it will go into third

Ok I replaced the front engine mount. Still not working correctly. I pulled the shifter linkage and shifter apart and realigned and it works better but still no fifth gear. Cannot find fifth even when I pull apart the shifter from the linkage. Can find every other gear but fifth. When I drive clutch seems fine shifts fine but will not go into fifth. Driving me nuts!!! Any other suggestions? Thanks

Sir, perhaps you've solved the problem. Is it a question of the length of the pin being wrong, and not the correct length? Curious if so how you solved problem.
