Leaf in gas tank

I was filling up my car at home and when filling it i noticed a small piece of leaf go in my gas tank should i be worried?

Nah I wouldn't worry about it. There's a screen on the pickup for the fuel can, then there's a basket screen around the fuel pump inside the fuel can assembly, then there's a filter on the gas line going to fuel injector rail.

Likely it'll stick to something in the tank someplace--I woudn't guess the normal decay mechanisms will be present in that environment, but worst case it'll be mechanically agitated and break up. The screens take care of it if it breaks up.

Lol. I once was cleaning the threads of a spark plug hole on a v6 and dropped the q-tip I was using into the cylinder. We couldn't get it out and buttoned her up. It miss-fired for about a 30 seconds till that thing was smashed up and burnt up. Never a problem after that!!
