Advice on 2007 9-5 aero, and free VIN lookup?

I may be looking at a used 9-5 as early as this Monday. What would you all suggest looking for? Do the "newer" 9-5's have the same sludge scare as the old ones? DI problems?

Also, if I supply a VIN number could someone supply a vehicle history report?

Thanks in advance!

pretty much all 2002+ cars dont sludge as long as the oil was changed every 3-5k miles (depending on city or highway)

DI's give an 8-10 year lifespan, the car could be due soon, however this is not a big labor item, just a parts cost

Ditto, you can get new saab oem di for 240 shipped from advance auto right now. Then about 10 minutes of labor.
