Replacement Fob

I need some help. I have a 2006 93 Convertable. The door lock button has fallen off the fob, I cannot lock the doors on my car. The fob still runs the car and opens the door but will not lock. My husbands fob fell into the irrigation and the fob will start the car but the door open and door lock buttons do not work. We have called the dealer we purchased the car from and I am being told they cannot get Saab parts, we called the other Saab dealer in town and have been told the same thing. I need to get a replacement fob for the car. I have seen some on Ebay and Craigslist but do not know how to program it. Any help would be wonderful.

If you can find a good fob case you can swap your chip over to the better case. Now that will take care of your key, but for your husbands key you would need another key. Not all SAAB parts are unavailable, but the key fobs for the 9-3 are. So just give it time and you will be able to order the fobs once again.

There are fobs and cases all over eBay. Still will need to program the new fob, however.
