what to look for on 9-3ss

What should I look for for problems on these cars? Im going to be looking at an 04 9-3 aero 2.0 with a 6 speed tomorrow or over the weekend.
Owner says that the clutch is starting to slip, it has about 130k on it. Looks to be in pretty good condition from the pictures.

How bad is a clutch job on these? And about what are they worth?

Keep an eye out for broken front springs and mysterious coolant loss due to porous block defects from the factory. Both common issues on SS's.

Broken front springs have a 10yr 120,000mi warranty on them, so you're out of free replacement on those if they're broken.

I don't think they dropped the dual mass flywheel till '06, so plan on a new one and not being able to resurface the flywheel during the clutch job. The throwout bearing/slave cylinder combo is a little pricey too.

How does one go about getting these replaced under warranty? I have an 06 and the front end sounds like I hit a boulder when I run over a pebble.

Mine were done a couple weeks ago. I had posted here asking about it and people had warned me springs were back ordered all over the country, but I called the dealership, told them the year and mileage of my car, and they had it in the next day, fixed it by the same afternoon.

I don't think all '06s are covered, so call first and I think they can look your car up by the vin and tell you for sure before you have the work done.
