My GF wants a 93, quick questions

Hey, so my girlfriend likes my Saab so much (idk why... ) and now she is looking at a 2003 9-3 Arc 6 speed manual and 63k on the ODO. Anything in particular about the 9-3 that I should look for? Common problem areas/basic maintenance tips? Are they problematic cars? Do they suffer from the same engine sludge issue that plagues many 95s?
Thanks in advance. I'm excited for her, it's a nice car!

The radio can be an issue, especially on the early cars. Things like amps, speakers, all of it.

Suspension clunking is common. I think we went through a couple sets of swaybar endlinks.

Overall ours was reliable from 30-105k. Right at 100k our original turbo was replaced(under CPO warranty) and the blower motor or relay-I forget had been replaced.

I highly recommend a CPO car for the added peace of mind. If you own it for more than just a year or two, it will pay for itself. The turbo would have been $2k parts and labor.

Thank you for the reply. The dealer actually is in the process of changing the amplifier on the radio. I'm having a blower motor issue on my 95 right now as well....
And judging by where the turbo is on the 93s,it would suck to have to replace it... I'll look into the CPO warranty.

Seems like there's no big issues compared to T7 cars which is a good thing.
