Talking So My Wife and I Are About to Pull the Trigger

We've been mulling about trying to figure out what to replace Kristie's '04 Lime Yellow 9-3 ARC Convertible with 190k with...

And we finally made a decision... After going to see a '09 9-3 Aero XWD (ended up being a buyback that still had issues), a '08 9-3 Turbo X (IN IL, and it was a total POS!!!), a '07 9-3 Convertible (was advertised with 30k, but ended up having 53k on it... we found that out after we drove an hour to look at it), and a few other cars... We went to Zimbrick Saab in Madison... Drove a few different models '10 9-3 Aero XWD, '10 9-3 2.0T Auto, and '10 9-3 2.0T 6-Speed. All new cars, which we weren't budgeting for.. However the one we chose was the '10 9-3 2.0T 6-Speed. It was a service loaner, and with the rebates fell right into our price range.

It's a Laser Red with Dark Interior, Cold Weather Package (or whatever it's called now), On*Star with Bluetooth, Sunroof, Rain Sense Wipers, Autodim Mirror with Homelink... It's equipped right in our minds. And even though it was a service loaner (most had 4,000 miles) it only has 1,700 miles.

It's window sticker was $32,490 (I think), and after Saab Loyalty and all it ended up being $19,970. Plus they gave us $5000 trade in for our '04 Convertible.

We're taking it to our CU tomorrow, and should be picking it up Saturday... We're both excited.

I'll post pictures on delivery.

Yeah, we were between the Laser Red and Fusion Blue... But the Blue one was an Automatic... Plus when replacing a Lime Yellow convertible that color was just too tame, so Red it was!

Wow, only $19,970? That is an EXCELLENT deal. Congrats on a great car at an astoundingly nice price. Can't wait to see pictures. Nice buy!

$5k on your trade-in is very good money for the miles, I think you'd be hard pressed to get that money on a private party sale this time of year.

The Sport 'verts barely sell for more than that here in LA.

And for the pics... And a little more story telling... We actually picked up the car tonight...

And we got an extra $500 Auto Show Discount... SCORE!!!!
Plus found out that it had an Auto Armor Package (that was included at no charge) which has the invisible stick on bra... SCORE #2!!!

Our salesman Carlos made sure that the car was ready, clean, and even got us a couple sweet Saab Keychains, and a Turbo License plate frame... Pretty awesome if you ask me! And another salesman there, Chris really helped out too. He made sure that we knew all the options on the car, their entire inventory by heart and was just a wealth of Saab info.

Anyways, on with the pictures!!!

The Interior (the rubber floor mats were out of our '04 9-3)

The Trade...

Oh, and this is awesome! I asked for this when I was looking at a car on the showfloor and Carlos remembered... It was waiting in the car upon delivery, and I got to take it home

Just by the shifter, a strip on the door, and the strip on the glove box...

There isn't that much IMO... I think it looks alright. Then again, could always take it off, and have it painted or something... lol

You can also purchase the aluminum trim through the Saab accessory catalog. Congrats

The V-day bow they put on there for you guys is a really nice touch, looks like somewhere that actually values their customers, I'm jealous, I always wonder what sort of experience my customers get when they go to our local dealers, it seems pretty hit and miss.

Very pretty car, good purchase.

They definately do value their customers, which is honestly an amazing thing. I'm a car business guy, and I'm picky about where I buy from. These guys did an amazing job!

Best part is that our salesman Carlos e-mailed me today... I was jealous that they gave my wife a "turbo" Saab license plate frame for her new 9-3... Come to find out he ordered a second one so I can put it on my 9-5, which I didn't even buy from them. These guys are amazing! They'll definitely be getting more Saab buying business from us!

The trade is a nice car, but becuase of the miles (192k) they'll wholesale it.

And thanks for the tip on the Saab parts catalog, we'll be ordering all the silver trim for the car from there. I honestly didn't even notice all the woodgrain on the inside (probably because I like it), but my wife wants a more sporty feel so we'll most likely be doing some trim in the Silver.
