9-3ss questions,

what is the difference in between 9-3 vector, arc, aero?

and does the bsr intake actually add hp or just makes a cool sound?

Vector was one year only, 2003. In 2004-2005 it went back to being the Aero. Both it and the Arc have the 2.0T, notice the capital T, that means 210hp. The Linear was '03 to '05, those are the 2.0t, 175hp.

The Vector/Aeros had the body kit, the two tone seats, the 17" wheels and biggers brakes and stiffer suspension. '03 Linears could be had with the Launch Package which had the nice 17" wheels most of the time.

'06+ means no more 2.0t, only 2.0T and 2.8T. Intakes on T7 and T8 are pretty much just for sound, maybe a bit of throttle response, not power.

Yes, Aero/Vector are the same.

Arc has the same 210hp, smaller 16" wheels, base seats and body color Linear lower body panels. An Arc is an optioned up Linear with the bigger turbo of the Vector/Aero. I forget if the Arc gets the same bigger brakes or not.

I really want the 06 aero. Much better engine to start with.

I'm excited to get the sports sedan again, i'll enjoy it more than my car.

I have one in Nocturn with 70,000 problem free miles. It is actually my wife's car and she loves it.

You are definately right, has a lot of potential just from simply tuning it. I feel like the 9-3ss is very underwhelming in stock form personally, but I am sure changing a few suspension bits and upping the power will help.

Yes.
Gs 3pt subframe,
Gs strut bar
Gs aux input
kw,megan racing, d2, k sport coilovers.
wheel spacers on double spoke wheels.
a tune, exhaust, and downpipe.

Would handle great, and perform well.

The 06 aero would be much better than 04-05. simply because tuned its 300hp. not including TB exhaust.

I know 2 people that have them on SS's, and are not thrilled.

Maybe someone who actually talks to them will chime in.

From what I recall from getting brakes for our Arc Convertible they're different from the Linear, however I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head.

Also our '04 Lime Yellow Convertible has gone 156k Miles with no major issues... (One Set of Brakes, 2 Sets of Tires, Oil Changes Every 5k, Serp Belts Every 10-15k, Air Filter Every 20k, Spark Plugs Every 30k, External Temp Sensor... It does need the fuel level sensor replaced, but that's not really an issue unless you like to know how much gas you have lol)
