New Battery install question 9-3SS?

Do I have to be concerned with anything when I swap out my battery for a new one on my 2006 9-3SS Aero? I know with my 1997 NG900 I had to worry about radio lock out.

not sure

Not sure if you do, but what I did on my wife's TL (because of the radio lock out) was was take a pair of jumper cables and hooked them up to a spare charged battery at one end, and the TL's battery cables on the other end. I loosened the cables and kept a heavy towel underneath them while making sure not to knock the jumper cables loose. The towels were to make sure nothing grounded out on the fenders or shock towers.

I quickly swapped out the battery with the new one, bolted down the battery, and hooked up the cables before removing the jumpers. I was successful in doing this and didn't have to re-program the ELS head unit (which was a pain in the a## to do the last time).

A friend of mine did a similar thing with two 12 volt batteries and some 14 gauge wire.

I'm not sure if anything has changed since my year (2004 aero), but I just swapped them and had no problems with having to do anything but the window anti-pinch calibration. So from my experience you should be fine.
