test drove a 2006 9-3 vert

I really liked the 06 vert a lot, my dad just got one last week. The dealer sells at wholesale and the car is 16000 dollars and has 20000 miles on it clean carfax lease trade in. the only thing that the car doesn't have is park assist, pass side power seat and xenon headlights. is this worth it i'm having trouble parting with my ng. input please..

2.0T, automatic? What do you have now?

Thats a very good price, you would pay deep into the 20's at a dealer in the East Coast.

That is a very good price! It should still have some of the factory warranty left on it if I'm not mistaken.

The 06' probably has a fair bit of warranty left. Even as a vert, it still has a better chassis than the NG. It will just take a fair bit more to make it quick compared to the tunability of T-5.

jameson. thank you for your input. I think if i get the vert i will only do the exhaust. I have 2 ngs in good running condition. what are the pros and cons of the new 9-3?

First off, that's a great price.

Pros = still under factory warranty, much better chassis/suspension design [handling], cool key.
Cons = more popular, poor interior quality (still), not a hatch... (I'm gonna spring for the SportCombi once I get a new(er) car cause I love the practicality)

Less than $1000 should get you an easy plug/play tune without dismantling anything.
