03 9-3 with p1312 code

Hey so my 9-3 linear starts and runs poorly during warm up. Cold start it sputters badly but never stalls. Once up to operating temp, couldn't even know it had an issue. It finally threw a code yesterday (p1312 ionization module). It did not have any misfire codes. I have read that it could be you plugs and coils but a few months ago I have replaced the plugs (NGK) and a coil. Anyone have any issues like this?

I have the same issue. I changed the coils with Saab OEM. Replaced the plugs with NGK. I initially got some other codes but they didn't return once it was cleared. I got the P1312 again. I've read some other posts referring to the air flow sensor MAF and holes in the tubes that caused a reduction in air in the cylinders while firing causing them to pre ignite. I'm still working my way back from the plugs to the coils to the connectors and wires. I've also read that when coils are installed, there should be no dirt or oil anywhere in the electrical contracting surfaces. The spark plugs must be gapped exactly to spec. BTW my model is the ARC. I also have noticed a slight momentary rough idle coming back off a throttle rev up.
