Exclamation Which power steering fluid?

For a 91 900 what power steering fluid should I use? It was below the add line so I added some chf11s to top it up, is this ok if I don't know what was previously in the resovoir? Napa said I can use basic power steering fluid but I'm not sure if I believe that.

Yup. We used to use type F ATF at the shop, and I've even used motor oil in a pinch. Nothing particularly special about the C900 power steering parts.

cheap stuff sold at your parts store is good enough....only thing on a C900 that takes special juice is the auto tranny...

Whatever you do don't use CHF-11s. I had a bottle of this from my 9-5 in the garage so I topped off the 900 with it. The car literally pissed it out of every joint/seal/seam in the entire PS system. Must be way too thin. But yes, as others mentioned, there's nothing special about 900 PS fluid.

That's actually what I had done before posting this unfortunately. I topped it off as it was a little below the add level.
