Glad to see you have this back out.

I'll have to look into that. Good call(s)

This weekend the steering knuckle is coming out, and a new wheel bearing is going in. I'm also fixing the exhaust.

Out in the wild:

Today was a busy day. I fixed the exhaust for precisely the LAST time today. The next time it comes off, I'm going to go full 3" with v-bands and all that shit.

-washed
-clayed
-buffed out with XMT 360, and an orange pad
-scored some new wheels
-put the stock steering wheel back in
-detailed the inside

I also pulled the caliper, rotor, and axle nut off both sides of the car, and could not find a loose wheel bearing. I'm pretty annoyed I can't find it. I'm thinking I'm going to have to pull the knuckle totally off the car to find what side is shot, because I can't remember. I think it's the right side, but...

I also messed with the LOUVERS, and reduced the rattle about 50%.

After that, I pulled the front plastic off the car, and re-did the airdam. It looks about 100% better now. It's even, has nice hardware, and the lower lip sits as it should. I also painted the grillE, and airdam the future color of the SPG kit.

I also found a grillE I forgot about:

With a re-finish and some cutting, I think it would look pretty rad!

New wheels:

No, but I have all the parts, and correct rear calipers.

I'm probably going to do that over next winter. Talk about a pain in the ass, you have to pull the interior out and weld some shit.

How much of a pain is the wheel bearing replacement? It's been like 8 years since I did one on my vert. Gotta do them on my SPG soon.

Also, loving the color for the SPG kit dude.

Not bad... just need to remove the hub and find someone to remove and press in the new bearing...

Yeah, it's not a big deal.

Remove wheel
Remove axle nut
Remove caliper
Remove Rotor
Remove ball joints
Remove tie rod

That's pretty much it. You can hang the caliper from the spring with a bent coathanger.

And my exhaust sounds like this:

Thanks! Satin black should look nice. I'm keeping the wheels silver, it should look good.

good stuff. sometimes a temporary breakup is necessary with these cars. i was completely fed up 2 months before this past carlisle. let it sit til about 2 weeks before hand, replaced my abs unit, *cough* fixed my vaccum leaks *cough*, waxed her up and the love is back.

good call on the grille. that's the proper one for a nice pre-facelift.

i'm still on the fence about whether to "facedrop" mine or not.

... if you so much as lay a finger on Natalie 2, so help me God.

It probably would look really sick, but I love being able to look at my old car as it should have been one day.
