Bremund's 99 GL

On the weekend I picked up a 1 owner '77 99GL 4 door

Full service history (a massive pile of papers) and some nice SAAB factory accessories
- roof racks
- headlight protectors
- bonnet/hood protector
- floor mats
- front and rear seat covers

The previous owner was crazy about keeping it in good condition so always kept a towel over the front dashboard and rear parcel shelf. Also towels covering the rear carpet, and after market seat covers over the SAAB seat covers so the SAAB seat covers were protected.

Picked it up in a different state so it's at my mechanic getting the once over so it can be registered here. So this is the only photo I have (more will come once I have it)

That rack.......Its the same as mine, but has 3 mounts per side. There were several variations of it apparently.

One style on RadioFlyer's '80. 4 clamp points, 5 ribs.

Similar style I have on my SPG. 4 clamp points, 6 ribs.

Here's a few more photos. The SAAB seat covers weren't in as good condition as I hoped.

I removed headlight guards, bonnet protector and the roof racks.

Regardless of the wear on the seat cover and what not..........that is an incredible car!

VERY VERY nice score.

Could you post some finer pictures of the rack, in the "Roofracks!" thread? It would be cool to document that.

Wow, so nice.

Can you tell a little more of the story? About the (one) owner, how you found the car, stuff like that?

Nice Saab. I had those same seat covers on my 5-door 99GL back in the day. Had forgotten about their appearance, so thanks for the reminder

Lovin it. I found a '74 99 4-door in salt lake a couple years ago that I almost grabbed. Not nearly as nice as yours, but any running 99 is a rarity at this point. I have a B engine like yours in my '80 900t and I love it - possibly my favorite aspect of the car. Check out the forums on Saabrally.com - the guys there are all about restoring 99s and could easily answer any questions that come up.
