My “vintage” list is as follows
1957 93B which is under going major restoration.
1971 Sonett (sitting for the moment)
1972 Sonett (sitting as well) only 37,000 original miles.
1973 Sonett Mid engine 16V turbo (In the works)
1972 96 V4 Should be road ready by SCD 04

Also working on a LH 2.2 Set up for the V4.
Playing around with 231 Buick V6 turbo bits for Saab V4.

Oh, I didn’t see this included 99’s

I am building a 1978 99 Turbo.
Motor bored with custom pistons and balanced.
O-ringed
MSS Cam
Oversized valves.
Modified T3 turbo with 78 external wastegate.
Factory experimental fiberglass hood (only three in the world)
MSD ignition, wires, coil, ignition unit.
Modified 1988 5spd with treated gears
Lightened flywheel
Centerforce clutch.
Aluminum radiator
1988 SPG springs
1988 front suspension
1988 SPG front swaybar mounted in polly.
9000 front calipers, cross drilled rotors.
SPG9 (Rest their souls) SS brakelines.
Complete 1988 900 rear suspension with cross drilled rotors.
Larger CIS
Custom CIS injectors (flowed and balanced) from Barry Grant Injection Service.
Full roll bar
Rear seat removed with new full carpet front to rear.

*As usual I just need to find the time to finish.

Well you can count me in with a 99T

Black 2 door works rally replica ( when it's finished )

Should look a bit like this -




Getting to be a bit of a job to find some bits and pieces these days though.

Struggling with Limited Slip Diif ( some second hand ZF units around but very very pricey @ $1000 plus)

Works (Saab sport and rally) type wheel arches ( or flares) - finally found a guy in northern Sweden who I hope can help.

The only other problems I have are:

1. Time
2. Time
3. Persuading the boss to let me buy the stuff I need.
4. Persuading her to let me buy the stuff I want.
5. Space ( I've already bought lots of stuff she hasn't given me permission to buy yet )

Mine will look almost identical to the one shown except for :

It has the later 99 turbo front spoiler

There is no, rather unecessary, 'Turbo' logo on the front spoiler

There won't be any 'Buck Rogers' graphics on the bonnet.


It's important not to be too tacky
