I found a 1974 99 for sale in my area for $750 w/ a 1981 2.0 turbo motor in it.

I don't know much about vintage saabs, so I was wondering what anyone could tell me about them.

Here's a piture:

Thanks for any help you can give!

My very first car was a 1974 99LE. Great little car. Light and fast. And that was with the standard EFI engine, no turbo.

With the turbo engine in it, assuming it's working properly, it'll be a hella car!

D-Jetronic is pure fail... 99s of that vintage had K-jet. I don't know, if it were me I'd put LH on it just to avoid having that awful warmup regulator.

True, but for what it was when it was, it was a blast to drive. Damn thing would spin tires all day -- narrower tires back then made it it tough to hook up, but when it did, what a blast!

I hope you don't need heat in Oregon, since the heater valve to the core isn't hooked up, or just don't drive it in the winter.
