This ones for you GA

We were able to get GA's project Turbo in today to give it a good looking over. The project has begun Some of the first things you need to get ASAP Greg are a front transmission cover for a 99 and a front motor mount. I would suggest deleating the A/C and the after market cruise on the car. Let me know your thoughts.

Marty

I will check with Doug - but I do have the original transmission, perhaps we could use the front cover from that.

Definitely delete the A/C and after-market cruise. That's a cramped engine bay, the less stuff in there the better.

Although I might want to drive this car to Colorado for SOC next year. Am I going to regret driving across Nebraska in August, without A/C?

If you have it Gregg please get the cover off and mail it to me. And as far as A/C in that car it was either you sweat or the engine overheated. (I know, I had one with A/C)

Greg, that car is sexy... I LOVE that color on the 99! Good luck with the restoration!

Yeah, it's been a long time getting this thing on the road, with a number of unintended detours.

I think it looks pretty good for not having been washed or waxed in over 10 years.

Good to see she's in good hands, Greg. As for driving across Nebraska in August, just roll the windows down and go really, really, really fast.

Can't wait to see the car at Carlisle!

Some images from when I had the motor in the SUV, and dropped it off at Marty's:

No, no condom wrappers, birthday candles, or change.

In fact the Mercury Mountaineer had 25,000 miles on it (as a rental!) and was still very tight and quiet. Decent seats, and 21 mpg on the highway at 75 mph or so.

We've been in for about a month now and it sure is nice. We haven't even turned the heat on in the building yet and it's still warmer then the show room that has had the heat turned on for 3 weeks.

The MN crew should pick a Saturday afternoon to head down and I'll give all of you a walk through

Get togather and pick a date and let me know. I've been thinking about inviting everyone down. I just can't seem to pick a weekend.
