Smile Gearbox!

Look what I got yesterday

It's a rebuilt 4 speed with bits from a 5 speed to make it better.

My gearbox in my 99 Turbo is completely dead (can't even drive the car), so this weekend I'm taking the old one out and this one is going in

My friend Gary, has one just like it. He's got over 200k on it and looking at it you couldn't even tell.

it doesnt matter to me if i thad 500k if the body was straight...
i love the way the gas gauge moves while cornering, and that unique turbo whine, 8valve FTW
the one i have been dreaming about is maroon, or cardinal red, something like that, but the black one is nice too,
it has alot to do with the fact that my grandfather had one restored when i was about 10, and it was shiny cardinal red, with that cool boost gauge, sweet interior, incas, ohh i loved that car then it got sold for 4k i think, and the kid who bought it wrecked it, now i have tracked it down and will be checking it out at some point in time

cheers
JP

Believe it or not, he also just bought a '77 EMS in that red color a few months ago. It's got 14k on it. We just put a new fuel distributor and and exhaust on it about two weekends ago. We're waiting for the wheels to get back from being refinished and we'll be good to go. Not a turbo but it's a great color.
