WTB...Orange 2-door 99 notch.

I am looking for an orange (either a signal orange EMS or that autumn orange color in the later 99s) 99 as the basis of a project car. Does anybody know of a solid car that is available? Ideally, it would run, drive and not require any significant rust repair. Have cash, will travel.

Color is non-negotiable, as is bodystyle.

fairly hard car to find, but they are out there. I'd check the usual places, ebay saabnet, saabcentral, and your local papers. as hard to find as they are, they are out there! AFAIR, there was one similar to pauls 99 notchback listed up on saabnet not too long ago, not quite as good of shape and I think it was "70's green"

Wow good luck. I have a brown '75 2 door body in perfect condition (shell only) that we have no idea what to do with. It may have been Paul's color at one time but it hasn't been washed in atleast 10 years. Its in washington state and its cheap if you want it! Scanwest wanted us to give it to them for free for a rally car. Well we still have it so you know how that went.

Hi Per, Glad to hear you are still thinking about a 99 project car!
I understand the desire for an orange 99, they look awesome.

But don't let the color be the deciding factor, maaco can fix that! Or house of kolor paint has some nice off the shelf 70's orange colors like shimrin sunset pearl If you can find someone to shoot it.

I recently purchased an antelope brown 99 which is sort of orangeish to reshell an ages old 99 rally car seen here:

Note the sweet dual webber setup and the sport and rally headers. A tear down of the motor revealed 8500 rpm cam with dual valve springs and venolia high compression forged pistons, wheee!

How are the front seats? I'd take one off your hands just for good upholstery/interior stuff.

What 25 years of gravel spray and then sitting in a field will do to the rockers of a 99 (and the reason I am reshelling the car):

I actually laughed out loud looking at those.

Um...on topic, someone on VSaab had a non-running faded red one for sale. Thats kind of like orange.

Yeah I would also like to come by your shop sometime, it looks like you've got a serious car there. I live in lancaster but go to school in boring delaware so your shop must be like like 40 minutes from me tops.
