I fixed a few of these. The opposite side was perfect.

This one was pretty bad.

Humm is very odd. It only seems to be the passenger side that rusts out first.

I have known about the passenger;s side on my aero looking like this since the end of summer. The internal side is sound for now, but it will be taken care of when I install the new struts anyway.

My driver's side is rust free.

I'm going to my Saab mechanic. Hes a Saab specialist, and has done many of these before.

Any good reputable auto body shop should be able to fix it. I think my indy was under the impression that mine was rusted all the way through and my quote was around $600 to repair it.

Yeah...this was the absolutle FIRST thing I checked on my 9000 when I bought it. Mine are 100% rust free thoguh, it being a virginia car its whole life.

Checked my 1993 Aero while it was on the lift yesterday. Still solid. My mechanic did say that he sees it all the time.

His advice, "quit being cheap and buy a new damn car."
