Looking to buy 2001 9-5 Wagon

We are going to look at a 2001 wagon tmw, and wondering what questions and items to look for. We have owned bmw's and vw's so used to European repairs. From the pics and description this car is very clean. Only 115,000 miles.
Thanks for your replies to this Saab newbie.

Erik

Ask for maintenance records, want to see if it has sludge in engine, and what has been done to it. Get it checked out by a Saab Indy mechanic if you can.

We drove it and also found out it's an Aero 2.3T. So I got that going for me.
The first owner had it 9 years and had just 36,000 miles on it.
The next owner put 70,000 in 2 years, lil worried about that.
The current owner has not checked for sludge but changes oil religiously. So hopefully there's not a mess.
Having a mechanic look at it tmw. Asked about timing belt and pullis and again nothing know by current owner. At 117,000 that will be first thing to do if all checks out.
Being a southern car, Hilton Head and Jacksonville, what should I expect for motor mount condition?
Thanks, Erik

Well, we got back the inspection report. Motor mounts needed, valve cover gasket, and timing belt are the major items.
Seems to be wear and tear stuff so not to scared. What do you guys think?

We got it! Woo Hoo!
Payed $2,250 so that's not to bad and leaves us a few dollars to make the repairs right away.
Guess I'm off to the newbie section to post, lol

It does not have a timing belt so he must have been referring to the drive belt on the outside of the motor. Cheap and easy.
