You might wish you got a manual. But they are pretty solid, besides the typical pesky T7 stuff

yeah, Areo wagons rule! See:

But 5 spd wagons indeed rule more than auto's. Auto's are a lot easier to find though!

They ALL have rust on the dog legs. Get it taken care of ASAP no matter what wagon you get.

I agree with nearly everything said above, with one caveat: the auto Aero wagon is a fantastic commuting car if you have to deal with stop-and-go traffic.

If you generally have clear roads or a short commute, go 5 speed....

(And that blue isn't quite "Viggen blue" (lightning blue metallic clearcoat) but it's very close. Cosmic blue is just a little less vivid.

Unless its absolutely perfect, I wouldnt buy it. Most people I know have purchased their wagons for under $3k.

I paid <$4k for mine 5 years ago.
Granted, it needed work, but...still.

Keep your eyes out, or wait until the seller see the error in his/her ways.

You guys are seriously cramping my wagon stylezzz!

Keep in mind a 5 speed aero wagon is a rare commodity especially in decent condition without 200k on it. While it may be a little high you don't come across the 5 speed often.

Well its crazy that most of the aeros for sale/some on TSN are going for >5000
The car is mint minus the two rust spots on the dog legs

A data point, FWIW. There was a 5-speed Aero wagon for sale on Craigslist near me. Looked like it was in great shape with ~120k. Seller had it on Craigslist for four weeks at $4500 and did not get a single call. He dropped the price to $3900 and it sold the next day.

Paying 6k for the car is absolutely insane. I'd keep your eye out for something in the $4500 or less range. The miles may not be "low," but that money should get you almost whatever 00-05 9-5 Aero wagon you want.

We all know we are a bunch of cheap bastards. We usually only buy something when a deal comes our way.

A car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it right? So how much are you willing to pay? 5 spd Aero wagons do not come along every day. If you can afford to wait, you can probably find a deal. I looked all over New England and beyond for 6 weeks when I was shopping, and literally found 1! Which I bought, and probably paid too much for. But, I wanted/needed a 5spd Aero wagon. Here I am 3 years later, and I still love the car. I will buy another one in a heartbeat when the time comes (assuming I can find one).

^ what he said, I looked for something like 2 months, I only found two, one had 180k and was beat to hell, the other has 80K and was near mint and also 5 hours away. They are out there, but even doing a nationwide search for a week or two I found less than 4 for sale total.
