Feeler: How long have you been Saab guys? What else do you have in your fleet?

Whats up!

I am proud to say that I have had my 04 9-5 aero for almost 2 yrs. Its been great thus far. Its different in comparison to my other/previous cars. I used to have a 93 Nissan altima. I am still holding on to my 94 acura legend. I gotta admit, despite my love for that car since I was a kid, I consider letting it go sometimes and dedicating my funds and life to my Saab?

Been a Saab guy for 20+ years. Usually had a couple in the driveway or garage, but I'm down to one...and that will likely be the last.

14 years for me. Been through a few of them for sure. I know I'll be driving my 03 Aero wagon for as long as I possibly can, it's a great car. When the time eventually comes to replace that I don't know what I'll do.

Been a saaber for 9 years now. I have had like 12 or so Saabs of different nature and a couple non saabs: 1999 F-350 Powerstroke, 2006 Subaru WRX and a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9LTD.

I have 2 Saabs right now (and a couple bikes) but my main non Saab is the baddest fucking Dodge motherfucking Dakota you have ever fucking mother fucking seen. Fuck:

Oh yeah THAT'S RIGHT, its a SPORT as in SPORTY, as in FAST AS FUCK.

My mom brought me home in her 80 900 turbo 5 door, I learned to drive on an 86 9000 turbo, when it came time to buy my first big boy car it was a used 900 turbo back in 1999.

More than just owning the car, I have centered alot of my life to the culture of owning the car and the friends I have met over the last 11 years of being publically active with other owners.

My fleet consists of 4 saabs I own 1 that is shared amoungst friends for parts, 2 fords, 1 buick, 1 caddy. I try to focus on the saabs at present.

My family has had Saabs for as long as I can remember, so it's their fault. I've been on TSL for 7 years, joined when I was 14

Chronological-ish order:

-92 Saab 900S
-95 Saab 900S
-99 Saab 9-3
-96 Saab 9000 Aero
-96 Saab 900SE
-91 Saab 9000 Turbo
-96 Mazda Miata
-95 Subaru Legacy
-00 Saab 9-5
-01 Audi A4
-96 Saab 9000 Aero
-04 Volvo V70R

Been a Saab guy for going on 5 years now. Got my 2003 9-5 Arc when I turned 15. Been driving it since, and plan to drive it for another 5 years. Probably going the German route (Stuttgart, not Munich) after that, but I hope to keep a Saab around the house if funds allow it. My other car is a 1966 Ford Mustang. (restored by me)

Sure, I'll just need to prepare first. Unload the 250 lbs of 'stuff' in it, drop the skidplates with their 40 lbs of oil-soaked muck, and install the aero wiper blades...

I joined the ranks here in 2008 after the purchase of my second Saab ('94 9k Aero, black-on-black, which eventually became Project Death Star). Before that I had a 1994 VW Golf GL for all of three months. Blew the head gasket driving it home after buying it for $500, then it sat and I never got around to fixing it so it ended up as scrap.

That was when I found my first Saab, a '94 Citrin Beige CSE auto for $1200 that was originally a loaner vehicle for Tracy Banks Saab before they went under. That lasted a little over a year before the turbo grenaded and engine failed simultaneously, so I sold that to a local Saab guy so he could part it out.

Then the Aero got me through the remainder of high school during which I started doing little modifications here and there, and then all but 2 months of college as well, before I finally had to retire it due to structural rust. As in the car was about to lose the rear suspension/floor completely There was also a second Aero in Imola Red I had for a few months before stripping it of all its usable parts and selling the engine/shell to VI009DZ years ago.

Somewhere in here I also snagged a '72 MGB roadster with one-off steel bodywork, custom widebody flares, sills, and front end. That one's sitting in storage waiting for someone to take it off my hands. I had wanted to convert it into a dedicated track car with custom suspension and a built Zetec with ITB's, but it's not in the books right now. Maybe someday.

Oh, and my '73 Mercedes 280 Sedan that I found for a song off Craigslist. With a bit of luck I'll be able to finish the restoration next year and enjoy it for a bit. Whether or not I end up selling it is still to be determined.

Which brings me to my current '97 Anniversary CSE, which inherited all the goodies from the Aero (complete interior swap and the full air-ride system I had developed) along with plenty of other cool odds and ends to set it off a bit.

And that brings me to my newest addition to the fleet, Tom's infamous 1990 SPG track beast. Definitely looking forward to a bit of motorsport action with her in the coming season.

well, I got saab bug from my friends dad a long time ago and when I say long time ago I mean the 1980's , he sold saab and always had a new one for test drives and company cars he also enjoyed spirited shifting and going all out on turns and well discussing the finer points in life , that at the time i was unaware , anyway ,my saab is my first saab but wont be my last saab, although im not sure i will buy a newer saab , im looking into saabs like I remember from my youth , spg I believe will be my next step , although I love a good 9000 and could be tempted by one of them when the time is right

I bought a 4-door '86 C900 S in '94 as a second car, because my '71 MGB couldn't handle a wife and baby. I had the C900 for several years before a Camaro took out the front end.

I've since owned a nondescript Ford and Honda before buying a 5-door '95 NG900 S in '09. I was initially going to buy another C900, but someone snapped it up before I could pull the trigger.

I bought a '97 NG900 S convertible about 18 months ago, which I use as a daily driver.

Geesh! I come from a SAAB family, so I've been around them most of my life. Dad and uncles drove 96's way back when, and then 900's. I've had my fair share of them so far:

1989 900 (Crushed)
1992 900S (Crushed)
1999 9-3 (Sold)
1987 900 SPG (Current Project)
2001 9-3 Viggen (DD)

I intend to keep driving them until I can't buy one anymore, which hopefully won't be for a long time.

27 year Saab owner. Started with a 1980 99 gli, lost track of how many I've owned since then. Couple Volvos and Audis mixed in along the way. Currently have 2 9k aeros and 3 c900s.

I got my interest in Saabs from my dad, he started driving them when he was in high school before i was even around.

He's had tons of them, 900's in the beginning, and now a mix of 900's and 9000's.

My first car was a 92 9000S, junked after I blew the second trans
Next was a 2000 9-3, kept for 2 years and put 30k on it, but never really loved it.
Moved on to a 94 Imola Aero, craigslist steal that I beat on for a summer and sold before I left for college. Still miss that car.
While I still had the Aero and the 9-3, I bought a perfect rust free black 92 9000S that my girlfriend totaled 2 years later.
I drove a 85 900 4 door for a couple years, i still have it but it's not in any shape to drive daily.
Also owned 3-4 other Saabs that didn't stick around long enough for me to really remember them well enough to include them in the list, mostly parts cars.

This has all been in an 8 year span, I've been driving 7 years but I bought the first one way before I could drive and spent the year making it roadworthy.

Currently I'm 'borrowing' dad's 89 Black SPG until I get out of school and finally buy another car of my own, which will almost definitely be either an Aero or an SPG.
