That a little less than double what I payed for one from gpopshop.com.

I would also not be rebuilding a gt17, id be looking for a good used td04. More reliable turbo and makes more boost for more power.

Whew! Yeah that's too much, call Gpop, they're awesome. Or swap like Tboy wrote.

Related but not, those same Swedish Dynamic guys advertise reground cams as"the last word in 2.3 liter engine modifications". 16V turbo camshafts: for 1991-1998 9000 Turbo

I sent Swedish Dynamics an email back in July asking what the numbers are exactly for those "last word cams", received confirmation of my inquiry:

"Your inquiry has been received regarding the following item:
Item Name : 16V turbo camshafts: for 1991-1998 9000 Turbo
Code :
Measurement Unit :
Unit Price : USD 449.95

Merchant Information:

and high performance tuning.

and, they responded with....absolutely nothing. For sure I'm not going to spend $500 on some reground cams with unknown specifications..

My experience, it seems like their customer service leaves a little to be desired.

It may still be worth looking at a used td04. Mine in the aero has 262k miles on it and still works well.

The td04 will work happily on stock low pressure software, I did that for years on my first 9-5, but enjoyed the reliability of the mitsu turbo.
