DIRECTIONS:

The easiest way to get to f1dyno is to get off of interstate 95, the maine turnpike, at exit 53, west falmouth. Once you go past the tollbooth, you immediately intersect a road, there is a set of lights, and a hannaford dead ahead, you should turn right on that road. follow that road over a small bridge. There will be a road on your right not too far after you cross the bridge, that road is washington ave. Turn right on washington ave, follow the road across a 4 way stop intersection with lambert street, continue straight, there will be a road on your right after a short way called riverside street, turn right on riverside street, follow it under an overpass, you'll see a golf course on the right, continue straight, you'll see a sign on your left, for f1dyno, and rennen. THE ENTRANCE IS ON THE LEFT AT THE END OF THE BUILDING. They are constructing a larger parking lot with a new entrance, in the middle, dont turn in there, its a swamp right now. Turn left on to the next road, it appears to be almost past the building. if anyone cant understand this im willing to meet you at hannaford.
When: 9am-4pm

Hey everybody.

This dyno day is at F1 dyno in Portland. It is just off the former Exit 8 onto Riverside Street. It is two exits north of the Maine Mall. Very good direct location for people coming from the south.

The Rate for 7 or more is $50 a car for two back to back runs. The normal price is $60 for two back to back runs. I wondered myself why this wasn't a significant savings and found out that these prices are strictly guidelines. This means that we very well could get much more than just two runs in depending on who shows up, but for the same $50. Even at $50, this is a competative rate.

Right now we have 7 or 8 people from S/C going. That is the rough minimum to get a discount. There really is no limit on how many people can come.

I plan to make the official reservation around May 4th, as a month notice should be enough. If you are interested post here so that people can see how this is going.

It has also been brough up to have a cruise afterward. I figured we could head south to maybe Old Orchard Beach. OOB always has a lot of nice cars driving around on Friday and Saterday nights. This would also let people not coming for the dyno have a little less to drive if they're coming from the south. OOB is probably 20-30 min south of Portland.

But of course, plans are still in the air for this "after-party." Spontaneous is always good.

So come on guys! post em up!

yeah but oob doesn't have many good mountain roads, i know i speak for myself, but i hope i'm not the only one on here that would rather fly down some backroads than cruise along at 25 mph in bumper to bumper traffic in oob.

Alright, Alright, I said this would be up for discussion, no? I was only thinking OOB for some nice grub. But there is more than one way to get to OOB.... but whatever everybody wants is fine.

im not familiar with any fun roads on the way down to oob, but then again, i havent been there more than i absolutely NEEDED to go, so i always just cruised the highway, but stromer is right about being a decent(cough) place south of portland for a bite, and i agree it would be good to go south for the southerners.
