Can you carry this part?

Starting a thread for parts that we can't easily acquire that possibly you could add to your inventory.

I'll start with classic 900 convertible windshield trim/seal. It's a two-piece seal. A plastic part goes on the windshield glass, then a rubber seal clips into it. Been told by everyone that the OEM is no longer available. The "universal" seal that many windshield places use instead just doesn't cut it. I just grabbed two sets off cars at the junk yard, but that was no walk in the park. I just did another search, and SKANDIX Europe has it. Wondering if that would be something that you could buy in bulk and save a bunch of us crazy shipping on individual purchases from overseas.

SKANDIX Shop Saab parts: Trim moulding, Glas Windscreen Kit (1024616)

And in a totally non-related story, could you provide a timeframe for stocking front trailing arm bushings?

Keep adding to this thread as things come up. I can tell you we're already pursuing a relationship with Scandix.

Thanks,

Matt

Nice.

Jordan may already be on the hunt for this stuff (he's told us on the SaabRally forum that he's working on stocking more parts for the early cars), but timing chain components (chain, guides, tensioner), and valve lifter shims and things for the rotating assembly for the B20 engines that came in model 99's and '79 and '80 900's are nowhere to be seen. I see you have head gasket kits now, but there have been a number of us who have recently picked up early 900's and who race 99's and that stuff is hard to find.

I had to order gaskets from RockAuto last time I needed gaskets for my '79 900 EMS.

Also part number 9359779 (8-valve timing chain) lists as fitting '79-'88 8-valve engines, but the early B20 engine in '79 and '80 900's and 99's is actually a double row chain and is not the same as the B201 single row chain. RockAuto lists the double row chain as interchanging with some early (mid 1970's) Datsun cars.

I'd rather buy this stuff from you if I could!

Also, B20 crankshaft pulleys that only have the single drive flange for the alternator belts, and they are shorter than the B201/B202 harmonic balancer pulleys. Those have been NLA for a long time I think, I have had to hunt for good used ones that pop up on eBay.

Confirmed with Sweden these are now back in stock. They are 4-6 weeks away as we have an order going in today. I should have at least 20 by 11/1.

The answer to this question is long and boring but the gist is we still have all of our diagrams and when those diagrams are available they are displaying. We parted ways with a development company last year that left our "new" diagram system in limbo. It was an unfortuante issue that took us up until a few weeks ago to finally get resolved.

Right now about we're about 60% between our old diagram system and our new diagram system. Adam is actually working on that as we speak and I'd say by the start of November all 170+ diagrams that we currently have will be back on the site. The then process of re-assinging numbers to parts will need to take place.

The good news is that it's very easy to add more diagrams in the future so we hope to start doing that again in 2014.

Thanks,

Matt
