If there were no Saabs left

We posed a question to our facebook and blog audience and we're curious what you guys have to say. If we found ourselves in a world where you could no longer drive a Saab, what would you turn to?

Something that costs 2-3x as much but offers nothing special besides the cost.

Something made by the UAW propped up by taxpayer & treasury bailouts. And will likely need another in the future .

But in all seriousness, probably a used CPO Audi A4/A5 2.0.

if I had to buy a non Saab today, it would likely be a Taurus.

I haven't had my eye on wagons for a while.
I suppose the a3 is the 9-5's closest competitor... with the turbo-4, though.. no vr6

Used Saabs?

Actually, I think Saabeh summed it up pretty well. Must be that moderator insight...

BMW or Porsche would be my choice if there were no Saabs but that hopefully won't be a problem as long as you guys keep stocking parts

As much as i love saab land & will be in it untill I or the cars fade away, I also used to be the guy everybody took there TT300Z's to for larger turbos or get your 70-90's anything Z fixed also. I really have no want to play with the new Z's for some reason though, I'm thinking of buying a Genesis to play with. I see alot of potential for the Korean underdog sports car.

I don't drive any newer Saabs anyway, but I'd probably be driving a newer Volvo if I was in the market. All those little C30s at SCD caught my eye as a nice commuter car. Already have a 2002 V70XC.

If I couldn't have my Saabs anymore, I'd probably fill the voids with Toyota Supra and RWD Lexus vehicles, and maybe an FJ80 Land cruiser. Idk.

Depends. For a daily, I'm already jumping ship with the rest of the cool kids to BMW.

If someone took away my c900, though, I'd be at a loss. I love my little Rx-7 despite it being up on jackstands for the last four years. I enjoy my t-bird turbocoupe as well, but neither would fill the void of the c900. I guess maybe I'd look for another Merkur or maybe an SVO mustang to satisfy the quirky/fun/practical hole in my heart.
