Higher prices and game playing.

Rock Auto Nissens 9-5 radiator part #68001A, $143.00 total, shipped using/5% discount downloaded from Pirate4x4.

The new eEuroparts Nissens 9-5 radiator part #68001A, $177.99, with "free shipping" plus a $9.00 "special handling" charge hidden until checkout.

20% more expensive overall, exact same part, slower shipping.

Yeah 'special handling' for sure--like the kind of 'special handling' on a first day in prison I guess.

ooof...

I really hope the follow-up to that question is something like "... because we're working hard to win you back as a customer and I'd love to prove to you how eEuro is superior to rockauto".

Otherwise...

ouch.

I think that I've made that reach out a few times and haven't been too successful. Seems there is something I'm missing in order to be able to really have that conversation with you.

Regarding your two points:

Nissens is a tough line. We don't have a lot of it and Nissen's has a drop-ship program that allows people to not stock any inventory and sell for 10-15 points over cost. Very tough. So we typically only carry it when we need to and oftentimes I cannot be competitive on price with Rock. Also occasionally on these SAAB items it's a good mover for us and not for others so they use Rock and eBay to dump product like this. Make something and move on. That I can never do anything about except price match for good customers in the form of store credit. My comment was mainly directed against that. Store credit is obviously not useful when you don't use us at all or at least haven't for a very long time.

Regarding special handling. We agree. Tomorrow morning on the site you will see a complete revamped shipping policy that addresses special handling and generally the changes that FedEx and UPS have made to their pricing model over the last year. I think it will be more equitable for everybody and this item would ship ground for free. I checked in our test system.

Thanks,

Matt

I always try to shop around for the best price, but lately eEuro has been the only one with the parts that I've needed at a decent price. I've probably spent over $600 total over my last three orders and aside from two head gaskets being a little tweaked upon arrival I haven't really had any complaints.

Look at this guy, getting in there and calling out the exact literary tool I used; good job. There's a simile there too while we're talking about it.

As followup, I received my order from Rock Auto yesterday, 3 days delivery time, in a Nissens factory box, no extra packaging or anything needed.
