Thats the perfect amount of tintage! Many people do it way too dark. yours looks perfect for a 9000. Good job!

I've run my car with the markers done for 1 1/2 summers now. I used VHT and used no clear (think VHT already has clear mixed in). Just gave them some wax a few times. They still look great and no peeling has begun. Quite happy with VHT's results.

thanks tuner...(really wanted a black car but not the easiest car to track down for a clean rust free car -this car is spotless and 205k proud miles)--anyway think it may look different on a black car..like adshft mentioned no issues fadeing-chipping-peeling

Now that looks real nice

I'm thinking of going that dark but with the tint film instead of spraying. Also looking at covering the headlights with some fly eye film or possibly by taking the lens out and using the crosshair method instead. The film looks miles easier though!!

Fly Eyes Kit vehicle headlamp and tail light tinting film.

Hey man,

If you're going to cover plastic (tails, turns), I'd suggest coating them. Well, really the same concept on the glass but it's difficult (gotta etch it first, it's a pain). The secrets to having it look amazing is the clearcoat; lots of coats and lots of wetsanding, then buff in stages (compound X3, scratch remover X3, plasticX X3, wax)

I'd stay away from the sheet tint kits. Tint is plastic and it will scratch and haze (I'm sure people disagree but I can only go with what I've seen). Plus, of course their promotional video makes it look easy (they do it everyday and most of the surfaces they show being covered are brand new, no pits). Covering with tint sucks. I'm usually pretty good at all things body work and even mine had bubbles when I tried a kit I got for free for my vette; needless to say I went with acrylic covers because the stuff was a pain and looked like ass.

Go back some posts and look at my lights, ALL cheapo stuff was used, just a lot of wetsanding and buffing. Like the others are saying if you regulate the spray, you can get any tint level you like. I guess the only bonus to the plastic tint is that it's removable; but I'd hate to see you waste the hard earned dollars.

If you want to darken up the headlights take the lenses off, mask the projector, and paint the buckets a semi or flat black. Just the black being behind the glass gave me some darkening of the look.

See I can't really tell they're tinted (probably the silver effect).

Beautiful car nonetheless, love the wheels.
