Being as the Ferrari 3L V8 made about the same HP (212hp) as the 9000 Turbo - I'll stick with the reliable 4 cylinder option. OH - and those V8's are still FWD :0

They did sell many with the Saab engines and other options too. Good information here about the car: Lancia Thema - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The thing that Lancia Thema with the Ferrrai V8 really had going for it is the engine sound. With a Borla exhaust that car is orgasmic. I had the pleasure of riding in one in Japan and it was one of the coolest rides ever.

Hey all, the author of this article here! Glad to see it made it to Saablink

I personally find the 8.32 fascinating, but B234R every time for me. You'd need a lot more than an HX35, front mount, injectors/fpr, diverter valve, and a good tune to make 430-450whp on a Ferrari V8!

Thanks for swinging by our corner of the web!

No Ferrari? Really?
Clearly spoken by someone who has not spent much if Any time driving one. Yess.. Unreliable, expensive and Quirky. But Most (non owners) say exactly that about Saabs
Ferrari is an absolute joy to drive 'quickly'... not so great in urban rush hours though
Incidentally RWD is an attribute Not a failing.
Think a stunning woman as opposed to a frau.
Even the sound of their engines are music and the handling ermm.. better than 2 saabs combined.
I'm thinking yer barking up the Wrong tree on this one Mate.

At this point in my life I think I would enjoy a 8.32 as much as a 9000 Aero. Ferrari V8s just sound so great!

So have any actually breached our shores? I have never heard of one being IN the US - does not mean that there isn't 1 or 2 out there.... Find me one, and I'll drive it. Since it was not offered here, and it's about 1.5 decades too late, I'm still happy with my B234 option.
