That's the whole point of adding a tag to a thread. Add something like "headliner" and "rock guard" and you can find it.

Or else you can just do a general search I prefer tagging threads if it looks like it might take some real time to search (ie lots of posts on the subject or on very similar subjects).

Yeah, I realize that now. But I also had a question.

That and it took me a long time to find the correct thread when I searched.

I can ship you off some of these, they're on special right now for 1/2 price. $5 a can. Let me know if you don't find any similar products.

I'll probably do this, how many cans did it take you? I am also going to do this on the A-pillars and C-pillars. I'll pm you tonight.

These cans are pretty big and cover quite a bit of area. I used a lot cause I wanted the headliner to be a bit more stiff and have a nice hard finish. Maybe 2-3 cans...can't remember.

Here's the special which goes on till Thursday the 18th (tomorrow).

Pm me if interested, I'll be buying another 10 or so cans to do my undercoating when my build is complete.

Do you think that when the doors / windows are closed that it will stink, and do you feel that it will remain hard even with the car closed up tight on a hot summer day? I'm considering this, but would hate to see it start to "drip" inside a 130* car, or transfer over onto your hand if you touched it when inside a hot car.

No it's not like an asphalt based one, it remains hard in hot weather from my experience with it. It will smell for a little while but that will soon leave.

A couple pull down screens would spice up the headliner a bit more. Just piture it with a game station mounted where the arm rest pulls out

Yeah that red dash cam and went, I threw it out. I just sanded it to give it something to grab onto and sprayed away. SEM sells a good plastic adhesion spray, I highly recommend it.

Adshaft, how many cans of that rocker gaurd take? I am trying to do this to my NG headliner right now. I've gone through 2 cans of the spray in bedliner from duplicolor and still only done with half. Plus, I am not well pleased with the results and think it might take another can at least (for the half).

I am wondering if I should switch to the roll on bedliner, so I could put it on thicker. I seem to have alot more porus of a board than what that bedliner spray is intended to go on.

I may try the undercoating too though.....

Hey I must have missed this, where you state it took about 2-3 cans. This stuff seems better.

Sorry, no the sale ended. They go on sale every once in a while. I bought extras for my own project, and I really need them all or else I would have shipped some off to you. I went to NAPA yesterday for some rivets and stuff and noticed they sell a similar rubberized paint, never used it but might be something to look into. It was last summer when I did my headliner, and if memory serves me right I used 2-3 cans. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with.

The result looks really good. Given the paint is a rubberised coating it should be a bit like bitumenous underbody coating and internal sound-deadening materials in the way it absorbs noise and since my 9000 needs the headliner sorted out it would be good to try this with a similar material which was a grey colour (current colour of the headliner fabric).

Will see when I get around to figuring out what to do with it.

Craig.
