Have a pair of Hella 500 lights off the 93 4door that I want to put on my new 96 se. Can anyone point me in the direction of how to properly mount this bad Larry's up?

on my 97 900 Tally i drilled a couple holes in the plastic of the front bumper put a metal plate under that tied both holes together and bolted the lights on.

im assuming these are the same hella 500s that came from me to 12345... saab a while ago, and therefore probably the same ones from said set up.

heres the best picture i could find of the set up

i didnt drill through the actual bumper just the plastic over coating. when using a metal plate with holes drilled in it along with the bumper holes the stay nice and still and dont vibrate or give the shaky lights at all. probably because they are pushing so hard against the actual bumper. and light output was amazing.

I had mine wired via the headlights and a switch inside. basically headlights "arm" them and the switch turned them on so i never left them on by accident.

you just have to splice into the switched regular headlight wire for the main power and the internal switch to turn on and off

a lot of people do this on trucks nowadays. makes them stealthy but is almost as smart as smoking the lenses on your headlights

In Europe you can buy a Euro plate mount. It sits behind the license plate and has 2 or 3 tabs you can use to mount them.
