Could some one recommend a good improv tool if you don't have the DIN tool and Panel tool?

Speaker setup / wiring

hi, i have a saab ng900s with pioneer headunit and stock speaker in dash and rear.

I would like to upgrade to a component setup in front but i dont know how to get the wire there. i have seen in some diy photo that the rubber hose between doors arent only protective its a allinone cable. i would liek to know if i am able to get wire in the door even if i have the non door speaker and amp version of saab.

Sorry if its a bit unclear and thx for your anwsers and help. (setup would be tweeter in dash and 6.1/2 in door)

Hi.

I also need to run wire from body to the front door via the rubber hose/grommet. But the thing is that the wire is for my custom puddle lights. As I have front door speakers already installed, I'm wondering whether there are any free pins left at the rubber hose that I could use to get my two wires for puddle light from body to doors. Can anyone please take a picture of the pinout of the rubber hose? Is there a way to run two new tiny wires through that rubber hose?

Thanks!

For all those that are looking to do this, I thought here would be a good place.

For cars that do NOT have the door speakers from the factory, NG900 people WILL need to run wires to the door while the 9-3s DO NOT. The speaker connectors for the 9-3 are there stock, just need the amp and serial cable to connect it to the headunit.

Has anyone tried to fit 4" speakers in the dash? I have a set of 4" speakers collecting dust and want to do something with them.

Where do I find a wiring harness for a 97 Saab 900 s? Just bought my convertible a few months ago found this thread recently after purchasing a stereo system off CL. And have used this thread to do the install, but can't find what harness or where to buy it for the after market deck... Help?

Door Speakers Compatible?

I have a 1997 NG900s. I don't have any stock door speakers, but I was wondering if I could install aftermarket speakers and put some new wiring in without changing the radio and sound system. It has a plug for an amp, so I'm wondering if I could add some speakers, or do I need to replace the sound system brain in order to do this? I'm planning on putting some JBL speaker/tweeter combo speakers in the doors. Eventually I want to put a Momo sub in the back when I get everything setup.

You can put spekers in the door I even think the wiring is there, but may not he hooled up

I did not think there is an amp plug, the only thing I remember from my 97 NG was the CD changer plug
